Measure CO2 and Increase Productivity

CO2 Produktives Arbeitsklima

Mental performance and human well-being are heavily dependent on a healthy indoor climate. Especially in rooms with many people working in a concentrated manner, the air quickly becomes scarce. Depending on the number of people present, the length of their stay and their activities, CO2 levels of over 3,000 ppm are often measured in offices or classrooms. This has a negative effect on your ability to concentrate, makes you tired and can cause headaches.

However, ventilation is not only important for the productivity of employees and students. The German Federal Environment Agency is convinced that CO2 sensors can significantly reduce the risk of transmission (e.g. COVID-19 / Corona) indoors and also in the office. They indirectly show how much exhaled air (and thus aerosols containing viruses!) is present and sound the alarm at critical values – keyword CO2 traffic light. This enables targeted ventilation for staff and students and reduces the risk of infection in the long term.

  • Create a productive working environment: Avoid fatigue, headaches, lack of concentration
  • Reduce the risk of infection and uncertainty (COVID-19!) among employees, pupils and students

Total solution for measuring CO2

Wireless sensors record current indoor climate values. Gateways collect the measured values and transmit them via mobile radio. The data is clearly displayed in the LineMetrics Cloud.

Creating transparency and seamless documentation

Analyze the development of CO2 pollution in the long term and evaluate the effects of measures in a targeted manner.

Receive warning messages for critical values

Receive messages when CO2 values are exceeded so that you can react immediately with appropriate measures (e.g. ventilation).

Easy retrofitting without cables and network

One wireless gateway is often sufficient per building. Data is sent to the cloud via mobile radio. Cables and network are not necessary.

Easily retrieve and process real-time data

Easily analyze data or use it in other systems via API. QR codes simplify direct access on site with a cell phone.

Targeted increase in concentration with CO2 monitoring

There are often no clear rules on who is responsible for ventilation measures. Instead of planning ahead, it is only possible to react when employees in the office feel the negative effects of poor air quality, such as tiredness, concentration problems, headaches and dizziness. If CO2 sensors measure the concentration in real time, appropriate measures can be taken in a targeted and timely manner. With LineMetrics it is possible to transparently check the necessity for measures and their success.

Reduce the risk of infection

Aerosols, i.e. the smallest particles suspended in the air, can be contaminated with viruses. If different people are in the same room, e.g. office, this creates a risk of infection (e.g. flu, COVID-19 / corona). Shock ventilation provides a remedy and thus enables a safer learning and working environment. But when and how often should it be ventilated? Does constant ventilation, especially during the heating season, make sense? And practical? How can technical ventilation be optimized?

The German Federal Environment Agency is convinced that CO2 sensors can significantly reduce the risk of transmission of e.g. COVID-19 / corona indoors. They indirectly show how much exhaled air/aerosols are present and sound the alarm at critical values. This enables targeted ventilation of offices and classrooms. CO2 traffic lights in use

Due to COVID-19, it is all the more important to measure and specifically improve the CO2 values in buildings. One possibility is traffic lights controlled by CO2 sensors. At critical indoor air values, the traffic lights switch to “red” and thus promptly indicate the need for ventilation.

However, such CO2 traffic lights can also be problematic. The clear presentation of critical values in the office, classroom or public buildings often increases uncertainty rather than reducing it. LineMetrics has therefore developed an innovative warning system:

  • Scan the QR code displayed in the room
  • Specify e-mail address and time of room use
  • For the duration of use, receive messages on critical CO2 values and, if requested by the customer, instructions such as “Please ventilate”

CO2 monitoring from just €9 per room per month!

Complete package including gateway, sensors, data transmission etc. – simply start without investment costs.
